My Americanization is now complete!🇺🇸👟 As My Americanization is now complete!🇺🇸👟 As a “new American”, I LOVE the 4th of July: it’s a quintessential American summer day, and this year @HEYDUDE is helping me celebrate in style! I don’t mean to be sappy, but 4th of July weekend also marks a super special anniversary: it’s been TWELVE years since I first moved to the US, and now I truly can’t imagine my life anywhere else🫶🏼 So let’s enjoy the festivities! Pool, barbecue and fireworks on repeat, wearing my patriotic @HEYDUDE shoes!! #HEYDUDEAmericana #HEYDUDE #ad

Back with this series to bring you the most authentic Italian flavors in Chicago! I was #invited by @bombobar, but I’ve been a customer since they first opened😋

Sometimes I just need a sweet treat from home🇮🇹… and that’s what @bombobar is for! They serve Italian pastries called “bomboloni”, which are very similar to donuts, but without the hole. Bomboloni are one of the things I miss the most from Italy! They’re so sugary, fluffy and delicious.

Back home they are usually filled with custard cream or Nutella, while @bombobar serves theirs with dipping sauces (caramel, hazelnut chocolate, and raspberry). That’s pretty much the only difference because other than that, they taste just like the ones back home!

📩Save this spot for your next sweet craving in the West Loop!🤩

Have you ever been to @yuzuchicago? I think this place is such a hidden gem!

There’s so many sushi places in Chicago, but to me, Yuzu is the one that best combines freshness of the ingredients, creative menu items, a fun atmosphere and THE nicest service!!

I’ve partnered up with @yuzuchicago to show you some of their delicious menu items! I’ve tried their salmon appetizer, their gyoza, their DELICIOUS scallops, a few of their rolls (these were the dragon rolls and the Chicago spring) and a BUNCH of their donburi (rice bowls with sashimi)! I’ve had so much good food this past month but this was the best meal I’ve had🤩

I’ve been going to Yuzu since 2017, and originally found out about them on Instagram so I’m hoping I can return the favor and let y’all discover this place on here🥰 so send it to a friend you want to go with!!

P.S.: their yuzu soda + honey mocktail is SO delicious, I need one everyday now😅

BAR SIENA TASTE TEST!!😋🇮🇹💪🏼 Almost BAR SIENA TASTE TEST!!😋🇮🇹💪🏼

Almost TWELVE years living in Chicago and I still hadn’t been to @barsiena, can you believe it?🤯 Luckily, they #invited us in to try some of their menu items!

We started off with their octopus appetizer, which blew us away! Then we tried a couple of pastas: their gnocchi was great, a little too brothy for my liking but that’s the picky Italian in me speaking😅 otherwise really good and so full of flavor!

I personally LOVED their new summer pasta, the pappardelle alla bolognese: the pasta itself was delicious, and the sauce was SO rich!

The pizza was good, with a nice crust and they use mozzarella di bufala, which is a nice touch.

Drinks: we tried the limoncello mojito, which mostly tasted like limoncello, but I’m a limoncello lover so that’s fine with me😂🍋🍸 then their honey mocktail was SO good, and the frosé is your typical summer drink, strong and refreshing🥳

Desserts: tiramisù was good, but you know I think that my mom’s and I’s tiramisù is the best in the world😏😅 and then the BOMBOLINI!! They’re so good. 100% order them. I need like one a day haha.

Overall, successful taste test! Thank you @barsiena for having us🥰
