Hi y’all, hope everyone is doing okay! These are tough times for the world and for Italy (the Motherland!) specifically, with coronavirus impacting the entire country. Italy is the second country with the most confirmed cases after China, and the whole nation is on lockdown until April 3, in order to reduce transmission of the virus. While I don’t currently live there, my family and friends are over there, and it’s hard to be on the other side of the world and not think of the dramatic situation back home.
I try not to think about it constantly, but you all are aware of how much Italy means to me. So today, I wanted to talk about something a bit more pleasant but not too off topic, and introduce you to an awesome UK brand, Maxwell Scott, that sells Made in Italy leather goods!

The Purse
This beauty is the Enrica Croco, a mock croc leather briefcase tote for women by Maxwell Scott. I’m so in love with it! It fits my laptop and fits right in with my wardrobe! It’s incredibly versatile and works with so many of my outfits.
The bag is sturdy, spacious and feels very modern. It features a laptop pocket that you can zip, but also leaves room for other items. It can be carried around using the two handles, or the shoulder strap that comes with it. Personally, I prefer the handles. Carrying this bag in my (left!) hand just makes me feel like a badass working woman.
You can tell the leather is of high quality and once again, all Maxwell Scott products are handcrafted with vegetable-tanned leather in Italy. I am always so proud of our Italian craftsmanship, especially in fashion. To add to that, I also think that in times like these, when days are slow and rough, we need a little reminder that our country is such a special place, full of incredibly talented men and women. I mean. Look at the details in the texture.
The Look
What I love most about the Enrica Croco is its versatility.
I had fun creating a look to match the Enrica Croco that would work from day to night. With these black jeans, black booties and a grey oversized blazer (found on sale, less than 20 bucks from Zara, can you believe it?), I feel business-casual enough to go to work, but also dressy enough to hit happy hour, dinner or the theater district right after work.
